Simon Walls

Bio

Simon Walls is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, music producer, documentarist and adventurer travelling the world to capture images and sounds. It is difficult to provide a single label for his work but Simon has successfully managed to blend the sounds, the pictures and the stories of his travels to his music.

His latest album “Atty Bouma” was written in Senegal, a 6 month trip North to South, from living in the streets of St-Louis helping kids in need to recording traditional artists in the Casamance region, Simon came back with a self produced album filled with emotions and a different horizon to his music.

With his unique brand of Folk-Rock and Reggae, his past album “Klein Blue”, released in 2014, was influenced by the people he met and the adventures encountered on his Walk Across Canada, a music tour without a van, from Victoria BC to St-John’s NL. A 7000 km walk using only his feet and a guitar on his back that led Simon to produce his first documentary and becoming a motivational speaker for teenagers in schools with Les Grands Explorateurs, sharing his travel stories and his life as a touring musician.

Simon Walls has been sharing his music for the past 10 years with intensity on the roads of North America. As an artist on the Canadian musical scene, he has opened for the Pascale Picard Band, shared the stage with Big Sugar, performed for Canada Day in Ottawa and produced many successful artists such as ILAM, Elete Rimtobaye, LITA and Mat Tyler. He is also the writer of the book “Troubadour des temps modernes”.
